Pregnant Women during COVID – 19

Abstract

This paper tries to provide a holistic view of the problems pregnant women were subjected to because of the Covid-19 pandemic. An unprecedented lockdown combined with systemic inequalities and marginalisation has brought on a tense situation for women. Adding to this is the scenario of poor family planning, further stressing a weak healthcare system. Examining the situation of the mass migration, inadequacies in our prevailing healthcare, especially with regards to handling the virus and the given institutional marginalisation of women, this paper expands on each and every intricacy and provides insightful recommendations that can be adopted.
